SUMMER MEAL PROGRAM

Students, up to the age of 18, have the ability to go to either Eagle Heights Elementary or Jefferson Elementary schools in Clinton, to participate in the summer meal program. There is no charge for these breakfasts or lunches. The program runs from June 10th – June 28th and July 8th – August 9th from 7:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. (breakfast) and 11:15 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. (lunch) Monday through Friday.

FROM NURSE AMANDA

If your child has prescription or over the counter medication at school, it will be important to stop in and pick it up before or at the completion of the school year. Leftover medication cannot be sent home with students for the safety of them and others. If the medications are not picked up, they are automatically discarded. If you have questions regarding our medication policy, feel free to contact the school nurse.

FEES & UNPAID BALANCES

Please strive to get your students’ bus fees, book fees, and library fees paid up. Some lunch accounts are also past due. Balances of all student accounts will carry over to the following school year. Balances of 4th grade students will carry over to their 5th grade accounts at middle school. All unpaid balances as of June 15th 2024, will be assessed a 25% late fee.

2024-2025 REGISTRATION

Registration for the 2024-2025 school year will be completed online. Parents, please make sure that your contact information is up to date in JMC. Communication regarding registration for next school year will be shared via text and/or email as soon as online registration opens.

PTA NEWS

You can still order a yearbook if you haven’t. Here is the link to purchase the yearbook: https://www.treering.com/purchase?PassCode=1015351206774106 Orders will be mailed (from TreeRing) to the home address if it is too late to be mailed to the school.

The PTA will need a new board starting the 2025-2026 school year. There is one member who will have students at the elementary school. The PTA will not be able to continue with only one member. The PTA funds field trips, hosts The Monster Mash, Ties and Tiaras, the Holiday Shop, the yearbook, and funding things/items that enhance the students learning experience. We can be contacted through our Camanche Elementary PTA Facebook Messenger and stormpta@yahoo..com. GO STORM!

FROM MRS. MUNSON

This week’s them is “I will focus on the things I can control”. Focusing on things that are outside of your control can leave you feeling anxious and overwhelmed. Helping students focus on things they can control empowers them to take responsibility for their own actions. This is important for academic success and social emotional well-being. If your child(ren) is experiencing overwhelming or out-of-control feelings, help your child(ren) focus on five things they can control right now in the moment(like a grounding activity). Have them use their fingers to count. For example:

1.        I can control my breathing.

2.     I can control my thoughts.

3.      I can control my self-talk.

4.      I can control what I say.

5.      I can control my body.
