Items to highlight from this school board meeting would include: 

• Superintendent Shaffer provided an update on the district's partnership with the AEA for 24-25 school year

• Business Director Aude provided an update on the Education Support Personnel Salary Supplement from the State to help pay non-teaching staff 

• The building principals informed the Board about ongoing and upcoming activities at each of their schools

• Superintendent Shaffer provided the Board with his annual report as well as the principals' annual reports

• The Board provided a list of strengths and areas for improvement based on the recent IASB Needs Assessment conducted this spring 

• The Board directed how to spend the surplus funds from the Facilities Enhancement Project 

• The Board had a second reading of Board Policy 204.15 “Regular Meeting” and will change the regular meeting to the 2nd Monday of each month effective October 14, 2024 

As is usually the case, the school board completed the meeting by approving administrative recommendations regarding personnel.
