WELCOME BACK!!

Welcome back to the 2024-2025 school year! The staff at Camanche Elementary is looking forward to an exciting school year with all of our students and their families. NO SCHOOL ON MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 2ND

There will be NO SCHOOL on MONDAY, September 2nd in observation of the Labor Day holiday.

DROP-OFF & PICK-UPS

Please remember that 6th Avenue, located on the west side of the playground, is treated as a ONE-WAY every morning and afternoon to accommodate the traffic flow of parents dropping off and picking up students.

PICTURE DAY – TOMORROW!

Inter-State Studio will be at Camanche Elementary tomorrow, August 30th to take fall portraits. All orders must be placed online at https://inter-state.com/FlyerEntry/87393VF. Our school order code is 87393VF. All students will have their portrait taken.

NEWSLETTERS & MENUS ARE ONLINE

In an effort to be environmentally friendly, all newsletters and flyers will be shared electronically. Please make sure we have the correct email on file for you, as that is how we will send the newsletters each week. They will also be posted on our Facebook page, and on our district website.

We will also send our breakfast and lunch menus electronically. They will be emailed, be posted on our school Facebook page, and are available on our district website at:

MUSIC NOTES

All Camanche Elementary Families: Please see that your child wears their gym shoes on the days they have music class. If you have any questions or concerns, I can be contacted through the school, class dojo, or by email at: kristine_gray@camanchecsd.org.

GYM SHOES

Mr. Peppers would like to remind all our families that gym shoes are required for his students to participate in PE class. Please see that your child wears their gym shoes on the days they have PE. You are also welcome to leave a pair of gym shoes at school so that your student is always prepared

THANK YOU!

Thank you to ADM for funding a grant to Camanche Elementary Robotics program. ADM provided funds to purchase specific STEM materials to further develop participating students’ skills in coding, creativity, problem solving, and collaboration. The items being purchased include two SPIKE PRIME robots and expansion sets, two SPIKE PRME essentials, mats for the beebots, and materials for our heart unit. We greatly appreciate ADM’s support of our STEM program.

NEW FROM THE PTA

Welcome Back! We are looking forward to a great year! The first PTA meeting is Tuesday, September 3rd at 6pm in the cafeteria. The PTA can be reached at stormpta@yahoo.com and on the Camanche Elementary PTA Facebook page. GO STORM!

I hope everyone’s first week of school is off to a great start! It is my pleasure to be your child’s school counselor this year. School counselors provide many different services in the school to help support learning such as: classroom guidance lessons for all students, small groups, brief individual counseling, crisis counseling, as well as collaborating with parents and teachers. I am here to help all students succeed. Be on the lookout for my blurbs in the weekly newsletters. They will include links, books, and/or activities to extend students’ learning to home. Please feel free to contact me throughout the school year by email, dojo, or my work phone.
