THANK YOU!
Thank you to ADM for funding a grant to Camanche Elementary Robotics program. ADM provided funds to purchase specific STEM materials to further develop participating students’ skills in coding, creativity, problem solving, and collaboration. The items being purchased include two SPIKE PRIME robots and expansion sets, two SPIKE PRME essentials, mats for the beebots, and materials for our heart unit. We greatly appreciate ADM’s support of our STEM program.

FROM MRS. MUNSON
All students have learned “Grown-ups are in charge of Big Deals; Kids are in charge of Little Deals”. Big deals and little deals is language our students are familiar with since it is a yearly guidance lesson I teach to all elementary students. Big deals consist of emergencies, dangerous situations, or if someone is physically hurt. When big deals happen, it is important to get help from a trusted adult right away. Littles deals are situations/problems that happen every day. Students are taught several problem-solving strategies they can use in any little deal situation. We empower students to use their problem-solving strategies for little deals that arise throughout the day as it is a crucial life skill to develop. Ask your child what little deal strategies they use most often. For more information about how to teach problem-solving at any age visit: https://biglifejournal.com/blogs/blog/how-teach-problem-solving-strategies-kids-guide or https://mrmizrahi.blog/2017/10/31/big-deal-little-deal/
