NO SCHOOL MONDAY, JANUARY 20^th MLK JR DAY

            There will be NO SCHOOL on Monday, January 20^th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

PRESCHOOL INFORMATION NIGHT

            Children who live in Iowa and will turn 4 years old on or before September 15, 2025 qualify for FREE PRESCHOOL. Please join us for a preschool information night on Thursday, February 13^th at 5:00 p.m. in the elementary school library.

KINDERGARTEN ROUND UP

            Kindergarten Round Up will be held on Wednesday, February 12^th at 2:00 p.m., 3:30 p.m., and 5:15 p.m. If you have a child that will turn 5 years old on or before September 15^th, 2025, please call our office to add them to our Round Up list. We can’t wait to meet all of our future kindergarteners!

            We wish the best of luck to our 4^th grade Lego League team in their upcoming Regional competition. Their previously scheduled Regional competition was postponed due to weather. Members of our school Lego League team, The Fabulous 5, are Elizabeth Carstensen, Easton Grell, Lincoln Petersen, Keegan Totten, and Brantley Weller. Sheryl Kennedy coaches the team.

FROM MRS. MUNSON

            This week discuss with your student “I set goals for myself”. We want our children to succeed in life. Goal setting for children is important because it gives them a sense of purpose that can improve their confidence and build their self-esteem (this is also true for us adults).
