NO SCHOOL – TOMORROW & MONDAY!

            There will be NO SCHOOL on Friday, February 14^th due to a Teacher Professional Learning Day and there will be NO SCHOOL on Monday, February 17^th due to President’s Day.

            Good luck to the students in the upcoming Winter Sumdog math contest. The following fourth graders are on our school team: Julia Bultsma, Knox Coit, Maclen Davis, Colin Determann, Hunter Gravert, Lincoln Petersen, and Brantley Weller. Izaak Cinadr, Brynne Hilgendorf, Dexter Kelley, Jenna Lehmkuhl, Brynlee Michaelsen, Harper Mink, Mason Panich, Wyatt Petersen, Mckinley Schwandt, Autumn Snodgrass, Garrett Snodgrass, Thomas Snodgrass are the third grade members of our school team. These students need to complete 1000 math problems in one week in a contest against other students throughout Iowa. Sheryl Kennedy coaches the team.

             This week discuss with your student(s) “If we can’t see eye to eye, let’s try heart to heart”. We may not always see eye to eye and agree, but we can always show empathy and respect. Showing others kindness and compassion improves our quality of life at home, school, work, and in the community. It brings people together, no matter their differences. Doing good for others feels good. Showing kindness to others is just as rewarding as receiving it from someone else.
