IOWA ASSESSMENTS TEST PREPARATION

SAVE THE DATE! APRIL 8 – 10TH

            3rd and 4th grade students will be taking the Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress, or ISASP, April 8 – 10th. Both grades have already had guidance lessons on preparation, test anxiety, and motivation. Your encouragement of your students is greatly appreciated.

 

ISASP TEST TAKING TIPS:

1.        Get enough sleep

2.     Eat a healthy breakfast

3.      Read the directions carefully

4.      Read the questions carefully

5.      Always check your answers

6.     Stay focused

7.      Take your time

8.      Most importantly – Do your BEST

 

PTA NEWS

            Brent’s Firehouse Coffee in Camanche will be donating a portion of their sales between 6am – 2pm to Camanche Elementary PTA for CES field trips.

FROM MRS. MUNSON

            This week talk with your student(s) about what it means to use their 3R’s on the playground. By using our 3R’s on the playground we can all have a safe and fun recess. Respect on the playground gives everyone a turn and avoids conflicts. By using respect on the playground everyone can be included, and equipment can be shared. Responsibility on the playground looks like everyone is doing the right thing, even when no one is watching. When we use responsibility on the playground then we can keep our equipment and school clean and safe. Discuss with your child how readiness helps them hear bells, whistles, and directions during recess. When our Camanche Elementary students use their 3R’s everyone is treated the way they want to be and everyone stays safe.
